Providing temporary storage and welfare facilities to support a multi-room refurbishment scheme.
- SPECIFIC CHALLENGES:
The only site available to house the temporary units had to be accessed via a narrow drive at the end of a busy staff car park. In addition, the site itself consisted of a sloping grassed surface, and with no time window available to undertake civils works to support the units.
Jack Pads (a versatile solution compared to traditional foundations and support piers) were introduced. With detailed planning and co-ordination, and organising an early start to avoid the majority of vehicles and students wanting to access the adjacent building, the entire operation was completed in one morning.
"Everything’s looking fine at our end and thank you very much for getting everything organised so swiftly. It went like clockwork, as promised!"
